Child Safe Policy
Policy Description
This policy outlines State Schools Relief’s commitment to creating and maintaining a child-safe organisation in alignment with the Victorian Child Safe Standards (2022). It establishes responsibilities, governance structures, processes, and behaviours required to ensure the safety, wellbeing, and empowerment of children who engage with State Schools Relief (SSR) programs, services, or activities.
This policy applies to all SSR Board members, employees, volunteers, contractors, agency personnel, and any other individuals representing or acting on behalf of State Schools Relief.

Photographing, Filming and Recording Students Policy
Policy Description
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that the collection or use of photographs, films and recordings of students in Victorian government schools by State Schools Relief (SSR) complies with relevant legislation, the Department of Education policy and SSR’s privacy policy.
SSR will periodically review this policy to ensure that it remains fit for purpose and compliant with applicable laws (as varied from time to time) including the:
- Child Safe Standards made under the Child Safety and Wellbeing Act 2005 (Vic);
- the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth);
- Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic); and
- Health Records Act 2001 (Vic)
